Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices for SitePulse Real-Time Web Telemetry, Analytics Edition. This application enables hardware-based notifications by integrating with the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) API.

1. Google API Data Usage (OAuth 2.0)

The App uses Google OAuth 2.0 to access your GA4 properties. We adhere strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, specifically the "Limited Use" requirements.

• Limited Access: The App only accesses your GA4 real-time metrics (e.g., active users, page views, and specific event clicks).
• Purpose of Access: To pull live data streams that trigger physical buzzer/LED alerts on your ESP32 device.
• Authentication Security: Your GA_CLIENT_SECRET and GA_REFRESH_TOKEN are stored locally on the hardware. No credentials or analytics data are ever uploaded to a developer-owned server.

2. Data Minimization and Privacy Thresholds

We respect Google’s Privacy Thresholds. The App will not display or alert on data that Google Analytics has withheld or masked for privacy reasons. We do not attempt to de-anonymize visitor data or bypass Google’s internal privacy protections.

3. Data Storage and Transfer

SitePulse Analytics Edition follows a "Zero-Storage" policy for visitor data. The App does not maintain a persistent database of your website visitors. All processed information is ephemeral and exists only during the real-time polling session to facilitate hardware alerts.

4. Application Marketplace Requirements

In accordance with iOS and Google Marketplace guidelines, this App does not perform background tracking of the end-user. It requires only the minimum network permissions necessary to communicate with the Google Analytics Data API.
